The Digital Divide is Real, and Widening
Around 1 in 5 adults in the UK struggle with basic digital tasks. In rural communities like ours, that number is even higher. Missing out on online banking, NHS appointments, or video calls with family isn't just inconvenient. It's isolating. We started Hebden Tech Tutors to close that gap, one session at a time.
Meet Mike & Joe
Two locals with a shared mission: making technology work for everyone.
Mike Thomas Czerniak
Co-Founder & Tech Tutor
Originally from Gdansk, Mike has been helping people get comfortable with technology since he moved to Hebden Bridge. He's taught older adults, supported people with visual impairments, and built practical AI tools for local businesses. He's patient, he's thorough, and he genuinely cares about getting it right.
"Technology should adapt to people, not the other way around. That's our promise."
Joe Wells
Managing Director & Tech Tutor
Joe has a background in customer advocacy and care work, and it shows. He's warm, unhurried, and brilliant at helping people go from anxious to confident with their devices. He meets you where you are and never makes you feel rushed.
"It's not about the technology. It's about helping people feel capable on their own timeline."
