You're not behind. Technology just keeps changing

Every few months, something updates. A new phone, a new interface, an app everyone else seems to know how to use. Most of the people we help across Hebden Bridge and the Calder Valley are perfectly capable adults who've been made to feel foolish by a device nobody ever properly explained. That's not your fault.

Our sessions are one-to-one, completely unhurried, and cover exactly what you want. You set the agenda. We're just here to make it finally make sense.

What We Cover

Whatever's Confusing You

How It Works

Sessions Built Around You

Simple, relaxed, and focused entirely on what you want to learn.

Free Initial Chat

A 20-minute conversation (by phone, video, or in person) to understand what you want to get out of tutoring. No charge, no commitment.

Personalised Plan

We put together a simple learning plan focused on the things that matter most to you. No upselling, no jargon, just a clear starting point.

Sessions at Home

We come to you. Sessions happen at your kitchen table, living room, or a local café, wherever you're most comfortable, at whatever pace suits you.

Notes After Every Session

We email (or print) a plain-English summary of everything we covered. You don't need to remember everything. We do that part.

Every Session Includes

More Than Just the Hour

We build everything around making you genuinely independent, not reliant on us.

  • Personalised learning plan

Tailored to your goals, devices, and pace. Reviewed at every session.

  • Post-session notes

Emailed or printed summary of what we covered, written in plain English.

  • Between-session support

Email or phone support if something comes up before your next session.

  • Home visits or café

We come to you. No need to travel or post your devices anywhere.

  • Priority booking for block clients

Book ahead with a 5 or 10-hour block and we'll always find you a slot.

  • No time pressure

We never rush. If something needs more time, we take more time.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone progresses differently, and there's no obligation to book a set number. As a rough guide, based on what we see most often:

2–3 sessions

Getting started

For a specific task: setting up an email account, learning to video call, or understanding one app properly.

4–6 sessions

Building confidence

For most people who want to feel genuinely comfortable with their phone, tablet, or laptop day-to-day.

8–12 sessions

Comprehensive

For people who want to cover everything: from basics to online safety, photos, banking, apps, and beyond.

FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before booking.

Do you come to my home?
Yes. All sessions are home visits across the Calder Valley. We bring everything we need and work at whatever pace feels right for you: kitchen table, living room, wherever suits.
Do I need any tech experience?
None at all. We work with complete beginners every week. There's no such thing as a silly question, and we never make you feel rushed or judged.
How long is a session?
Most sessions are 1 to 1.5 hours. We won't push past what's useful. Some people prefer shorter, more frequent sessions, and that's completely fine.
What if I forget what we covered?
We send you written notes after every session: a plain-English summary you can refer back to at any time. You can also get in touch between sessions if something comes up.
Can I book just one session?
Absolutely. There's no obligation to book more than one. Many clients start with a single session to see how it goes, then continue at their own pace.
Are concessions available?
Yes. We offer reduced rates for pensioners, people on low incomes, and benefit recipients. Just mention it when you get in touch. No means test or paperwork.

Ready to get started?

No contracts, no pressure, just friendly, patient help at a time that suits you. Concessions available if needed.
