Community Spaces
Tech help in the places
you already use
We bring drop-in tech sessions into community centres, community rooms, and independent cafes across the Calder Valley. No travel, no waiting rooms, no jargon. Just real help in a familiar space.
Why it matters
Your venue, your community
The hardest part of asking for help is walking through an unfamiliar door. We remove that barrier.
Community centres and rooms
Sessions for your members
If your venue serves the community, we want to serve your members.
We work with community centres, village halls, community rooms, and similar spaces across the Calder Valley. We bring the equipment, we set up in a corner, and we help whoever turns up. Sessions can be one-off or regular, and we tailor the format to whatever works best for your group.

Independent cafes
A corner, a coffee, and a question answered
We partner with independent cafes that lend us a table for a regular drop-in slot.
The idea is simple. A cafe customer who has been putting off asking about their phone or laptop walks in, orders a drink, sits with us for ten minutes, and walks out with their problem solved. The cafe gets footfall on a quiet morning. We get to help someone who would not have sought help otherwise. Everyone wins, and the money stays in the valley.
We only approach independent cafes, not chains. We do not pay for space; we bring customers. We do not promote large corporations; we tell people about the place they are sitting in.

Get in touch
How to set something up
Whether you run a community centre or a cafe, the process is the same.
Get in touch
Drop us a message via the contact form or call 01422 730 097. Tell us a little about your venue and what your members or customers typically need.
Short call or visit
We will have a brief call or pop in to see the space. No commitment at this stage. We just want to understand the context.
Agree a format
We work out a session format that suits you: a one-off, a monthly slot, a specific workshop. We bring everything we need.
First session
We show up, set up in a corner, and start helping. If it goes well, we build from there. If it needs adjusting, we adjust.
Our approach
Why we focus on independent venues
HTT is a Community Interest Company. Our mission is explicitly local. When we run a session at an independent cafe, that cafe sells more drinks, its staff earn wages, and those wages get spent in the valley. None of that happens if we run sessions at a chain.
Community centres and community rooms serve the same purpose. They exist because local people built them, fund them, and use them. They are exactly the kind of institution HTT was set up to support.
This is not an ideological stance. It is a practical one. Keeping the economic loop tight means the valley gets stronger over time, and that benefits the people we are here to help.
